NxLeveL Business Plan of the Year Awards

Each year, the Montana Department of Commerce Entrepreneur Development Program has a business plan competition for the participants who have graduated from the NxLeveL Business Courses conducted throughout the state. The business plans are scored by commercial bankers in Montana. Awards are given for the first, second and third place winners.

The Governor presents the award for the first place winner in conjunction with other small business and microbusiness activities each year at a celebration in Helena.

The NxLeveL training courses are considered by the Montana Department of Commerce Small Business Development Center to be the best, most comprehensive, non-university business training courses available for small business owners. The training uses a practical, hands-on approach to developing a small business.

David Smith, the Chief Executive Officer of the Bozeman Chamber of Commerce, is very enthusiastic about the NxLeveL Entrepreneur Business Plan Course. "Knowing where you want to go is invaluable when it comes to making business decisions, and our NxLeveL Entrepreneur Course provides that map." Since 1995, over 1000 business owners in Montana have completed the training. Courses are currently offered in twenty-one cities throughout Montana. For further information on local training, please contact Philip Belangie, NxLeveL State Coordinator, at (406) 721-3663.
